Bible Verses About Healing

What Does The Bible Say About Healing?

We seek healing in some shape or form on a regular basis. We seek physical healing for major and minor damage. We seek healing of our hearts when we lose a loved one, when we are hurt by another, or when a relationship ends. We seek healing when tragedy strikes. We seek healing of our soul when we have strayed from our faith. Where is God when we are seeking restoration?

Physical Healing

James 5:14-15 – Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Job 5:18 – For He wounds, but He binds up; He shatters, but his hands heal.

Luke 10:9 – Heal the sick in it and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.”

God is the Great Physician, and shows us that with the many miracles he reveals to us in the Bible of physical healing. Jesus exhibited the will of God by healing the sick during his time on earth. We know of God’s ability to heal physically, no matter what our prognosis may be. If it is His will to further glorify His works, he will heal us.
