Bible Verses About Strength

What Does The Bible Say About Strength?

There are many times in our lives where we find ourselves feeling weak. Grief, transitions, new opportunities, and the general unknown can stir up a bundle of doubts in ourselves and in our strength. Where do we turn when we feel weak? Where can we find the strength in us that we need?

Our Strength Comes From God

We as God’s people have His strength within us. He tells us in throughout the Bible that He is almighty, powerful, and created us to be like Him. He made us to have the strength He possesses, even when our bodies are weak. We know by His word that even when we do not feel strong, we have the strength within us, because we are His children.

Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

He works His strength within us during our times of weakness, and He instructs us to seek for His power and hold faith that His strength will perfectly carry us through.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
