Psalms 37:5
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
What does Psalms 37:5 mean?
Psalm 37 encourages the faithful not to be troubled by the apparent success of those who do wrong, but to trust God and continue doing good. Its call to commit everything to the Lord is an invitation to place one’s path and concerns in God’s care.
Entrust your path to God and keep trusting him, even when you cannot see how help will come.
Psalms 37:5 for your life
When anxiety feels heavy
Name the concerns you are carrying and bring them honestly to God in prayer. Trusting him can steady you as you take the next faithful step, even before the whole situation is resolved.
In your work
Commit your decisions, effort, and relationships at work to God rather than measuring your worth only by results. Do what is yours to do with integrity, and ask him for help with what you cannot control.
In a season of grief
You can entrust your sorrow to God without pretending it is small or expecting it to disappear quickly. Seek his help one day at a time, and let trusted people support you along the way.
When life is changing
As you face a new season, bring both your plans and uncertainties to God. Trust him to help you discern the next step, even if the full direction is not yet clear.
