Psalms 37:23–24
23 The steps of a [good] man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth [him with] his hand.
What does Psalms 37:23–24 mean?
The psalm describes God establishing the steps of those who delight in him. Even when they fall, they are not pictured as abandoned because God continues to uphold them.
Stumbling does not have to mean the end of the journey.
