Psalms 121:1–2
1 A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
What does Psalms 121:1–2 mean?
The psalmist looks toward the hills and asks where help comes from, then answers that help comes from the Lord, maker of heaven and earth. The remainder of the psalm develops God’s attentive care.
Our deepest help comes from the God who made what we cannot control.
