Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
What does Matthew 6:34 mean?
Jesus directs his listeners away from anxiety about tomorrow and back toward faithful attention to the present day. The teaching comes within a larger call to trust the Father’s care and seek God’s kingdom first.
Today already has enough to carry without borrowing tomorrow’s trouble.
Matthew 6:34 for your life
Anxiety
Anxiety often asks you to live tomorrow before tomorrow arrives. Jesus redirects attention to the day actually in front of you. You do not need to solve every future problem today.
Motherhood
Parenting gives you an almost unlimited number of future scenarios to worry about. Jesus’ words invite you back to the child, decision, and responsibility that are actually in front of you today.
